Why 3rd Dimension Data Recovery?

3rd Dimension is a structured, multi-dimensional process developed by the University of Saskatchewan at Innovation Place, The process is based on drive restoration, disk imaging, and data retrieval. Many companies have false claims that they do “full” data recovery, when in fact they only use a software process without first correcting the physical disk problems; leaving data behind or worse, destroying data trapped at lower levels. The 3rd Dimension Data Recovery system addresses drive-level, disk-level and data-level issues so that the maximum amount of data is retrieved.

The 3rd Dimension Data Recovery Approach

Phase I: Drive restoration, this is done through our media applied science process. The restoration step involves repairing and/or stabilizing the physical failure of the drive. This step is critical for retrieving the deepest level of data from a damaged or faulty drive. Other Data recovery firms that do this work will do it without proper tools, by using simple trial and error; thus, leaving behind valuable data.

Phase II: Disk imaging, this is also widely understood to be important. Our company uses a process in combination with highly specialized equipment specifically designed for unstable disks; however, other businesses usually use method/s which are designed for good disks not the unstable ones that often come in for recovery. Their methods can be costly for time; placing stress on the disk which can be self-defeating because of the high possibility of producing no usable data or even disk failure.

Phase III: Data Recovery, this step is the most widely performed, yet if phase III is used alone (without preceding phases such as drive restoration and disk imaging) it will only be successful at retrieving the thinnest layer of data, significantly increasing the risk of losing user data and undermining any professional data recovery process. This is why our company has designed a three dimensional data recovery process.
